Written Word

I love tattoos and most of you who know me know that I love smaller ones that have meaning. I've always wanted to get 'strength' written somewhere on my body as a daily reminder of how how just being strong can get us through most things in life. I guess that's why these caught my eye. If you were to get one word written on your body, what would it be?

i love love love love tattoos. these pictures are wonderful! i have a few tattoos myself none of which are script. but i've been working on something.

if i could get one word tattooed on my body i think that i would get:

believe

there is so much meaning in that one word with 7 characters. it can be used in so many different scenarios. it means so much. i love it.

I have quite a few tattoos. Two words ones actually. Restless and Relentless. Restless on my foot and Relentless on the outside of my arm.

Lovely picture..I like very much tatoo´s to...If I could get one it would definetely say: Courage...cause there where many situations in my life where I really wanted to give up or to run away ..but I remembered that there are more important things in life that fear and that has got me right where I am so its a meaningful word for me.

I'm hoping to get a tattoo on my foot with the word hope. Hope is my favorite word. There is so much in that word.

I'm hoping I can get my husband to jump on board with it! He says I can get it but he doesn't want me to get it now. I won't get it unless he's ok with it!

If I were to ever get a tattoo, I would probably get "26.2" for the marathons I have ran. Mostly because they required so much dedication and effort and I am proud to say that I completed them.

if I chose a word, I think I'd go w/ hope or love...

I'm also a tattoo lover, and I have several small ones. I do have some script on my shoulder blades... a line from one of my all time favorite songs. I am wanting to get one simple word done soon, but I can't decide where I want it. The word I'm getting is Remain. It sums up so much to me.

I love tattoos, but I have the hardest time coming up with an idea and sticking to it. I do have a shamrock on my back, just below my neck though.

I'm not sure what word I would get tattooed on me, but I adore the "love" tattoos on the wrists. So cute!

Oh, I'm swooning! I love the idea of getting a single word tattooed, but John isn't really a tattoo guy and I think one is pushing it sometimes!

I have the word "beloved" on my wrist as a reminder that God loves me even when I feel like no one else does. And "blessed" is written across my back.

I have to actually try to come up with other stuff besides words to get inked. I'm so drawn to words.

(I love that "fighter" tattoo.)

I love the cursive tattoos. Especially when they are small and subtle. All these are beautiful examples.

I guess the word would be my mother's name, "Angela" :)

I like these a lot. Always wanted a tatoo - love the wrist, and the side of the body and also the foot. never gone through with it though!!

I really like the love ones. They look so professionally done. I still don't have a tattoo and I probably never will...I do like these, though. I don't know what I'd want to get written on myself forever, though, you know?

Oh my goodness, you MUST tell me who that girl is in the first picture! I remember looking at her blog long ago and now I can't for the life of me remember what it was called! She has some pretty amazing tattoos as well.

I love looking at other people's tattoos, just not sure I want (any more) of my own.

Simply said..... I don't have one but admire those who do.

I don't dream of a word, I dream of a masterpiece!!!

Full Back Spread: An angel with huge wings that spread the length of shoulders to hip, in a flowing dress that at the bottom, right at the waist line at the hem of the skirt, instead of feet, there are roots of a tree... lifted... and free

Full Abdomen piece: An eye, within the pupil, the universe....

sigh.

but it will never be anything more than a vision in my mind... :)

and now here, as a comment :))

Love people with the tats!

I share this same liking for small tattoos like this. strength sounds perfect. I'd probably go with "LIVE."
I've been set on what I want for quite some time now, I just need to get it!
Love your blog btw! ♥

Those love ones are my favorite. I would actually get "persevere." Because sometimes that's what it comes down to.

I would get "right" and, if I get a second word, "left" so I would stop confusing them.

Honestly I don't like tattoos but maybe a very little one is not bad at all! I'd like to write something cute!

My sister has a cool tattoo. It's the word love. There are two things I really like about it. I like where she has it, and I like that it has a period after the word.

Here's a pic:
