Do or Don't

I'm a gigantic fan of The Sartorialist, mostly because of the men's fashion. I LOVE seeing what trendy men are wearing these days.. or at least the men of Milan. But when I came across these two gentlemen, I was a little torn. Do a like the hodgepodge of colors, patterns and textures? Is it brilliant or way too much? What do you think my friends... do or don't?

Happy Monday

Happy Monday my Friends! How was your weekend? It was gorgeous up here in Minnesota! The sun was out and the weather was perfect. But along with nice weather comes summer colds... which I've caught. {Boo!} But I'm drinking my fluids and taking my vitamins and I'm hoping to feel better soon. Have an AMAZING week my friends! I love and appreciate all of you!!  xo Jen

Current Obsession

My current obsession is {drum roll please}... sequins!! Ok, ok, maybe not the typical sequins prom dress but I'll most certainly take an adorable top and cute socks like these! But then again, I'lll take anything that adds a little shimmer and shine to my outfit. It's all about those second looks, isn't it girls? ;-)

New Product I H♥art

Anytime I come across a new product that I fall in love with, I try to spread the word. This my friends, is worth listening to!! FOR ALL OF YOU CONTACT & GLASSES WEARERS OUT THERE, you know glasses are EXPENSIVE. I used to only buy them once every 5 years because of their cost. But Zenni Optical is an on-line glasses store where you can buy prescription glasses for only a few dollars! Ok, ok, I really didn't believe it myself, but after reading a ton of great on-line reviews and buying 2 pairs myself, I'm hooked! All you do is go to Zenni, pick out your favorite pair (hundreds to pick from) and input your latest prescription and PD information. (Your PD can be provided by your eye Dr. or Zenni has on-line instructions for you to figure out yourself.) Below is most recent pair from Zenni. $17! And I can see perfectly! Your pocket book will thank you ;-)

Easy DIY Item

I love simple, I love creative, I love useful and I love cheap. This DIY project is a perfect combination of those 4 elements! The use of these wooden crates as an entry way storage piece is brilliant! How easy would it be to put this together? I think we'd all agree... SUPER easy!!

Today

Good Morning my Lovlies! I hope you are all doing well. I'm sure you've noticed I haven't posted in almost a week (in fact, it looks like I've lost a few follwers because of it). My friends, I've had a tough couple of weeks and I'm just trying to get through each day. I had a very big decision to make. And although in my heart of hearts I know I made the right decision, I can't help but be terribly saddened. Please friends, just give me another day or two and I'll be back in business, I promise. I have some great posts for you... I just need one more day. xo Jen

Look of the Day

This outfit is simply perfect. The brown-heeled boots, the cable knit sweater, the big black sunglasses and the hair casually pulled back... now this is what a gorgous outfit looks like! And so something I'd wear! ;-)

Easy DIY Item

Hello my Dears! As promised, I wanted to share another DIY project with you. I've mentioned it before but whenever I get together with the family, especially during holidays, I try to coordinate a project for us to work on together. It's a great way for us to make memories & have fun! This particular DIY project is perfect for families because it's super easy, super fun and includes {silly or serious} family photos.... FAMILY PICTURE MAGNETS!!

MATERIALS:
1. Clear Glass Stones {I found mine at the dollar store}
2. Round Magnets {from any craft store}
3. Family Pictures {we used silly faces}
4. Super Glue

DIRECTIONS:

1. Use the clear stones to trace around the faces in the pictures. {Don't forget the pets!}
2. Cut out the traced faces.
3. Super glue the edges of the stone and glue to the front of the cut-out-faces.
4. Use super glue to glue the magnets to the back of the cut-out-faces.
5. Use a pen to date the back of the magnet.
6. Apply to refrigerator and Voila... Fun Family Magnets!!

Bracelet Love

Hi friends! How's your day going? Most of you know that I love unique jewelry. So when I came across this piece, I just had to share. Isn't it gorgeous?? The blue is STUNNING! So that I could find who makes it, I Googled "snake bracelet". Friends, you have no idea how many amazing snake bracelets there are out there!! I was shocked, because now, I don't only want this one, I want about 5 other ones too!! Just a warning, if you want to save your credit card, don't Google "snake bracelets" ;-)

Pattern Love

Patterned pants? Oh I like, I like! Paired with a plain tank or top, I think this combination is stunning and so very 70's/Missoni-like. But what do you think, will you be trying this trend this season?

Easy DIY Item

Happy Monday Darlings! I hope your weekend was relaxing and enjoyable! I was invited to a house party on Friday and of course didn't want to show up empty handed. As a gift to the host, I brought a bottle of wine. I wanted to dress the bottle up so I made this cute little sweater sleeve for it. It was super simple to make! And my friend LOVED it!! Here are the instructions:

1.) Cut the sleeve off an old sweater.

2.) Figure out how much of the bottle you want to cover. You can do the entire length of the wine bottle or right below the neck (where I did it). Pin the area where you want it to end and cut off the excess sweater sleeve.

3.) Turn the sweater sleeve inside out and either machine or hand sew the bottom (just takes a couple of stiches). Cut the excess right below the stiches. This will be where the bottom of the bottle is.

4.) Turn the sleeve back to the right side and slide the wine bottle in. You can sew in twine around the opening (like I did) or you can add simple things like a bow or pretty ribbon, pom poms or even buttons down the side. Don't forget to add a card!
