Ok, so I've been seeing more and more magazines with plates on the walls and trying to figure out if I like it. What do you think? Is it a do or should it stay in the 70's?
I like it, but to me the bedroom one makes NO sense at all! I have it in the dining room (only four, but they are larger platters...blue transfer ware plates) not to get too literal here, but I prefer it in the kitchen or dining room!
I think that if it's well done it can be lovely!!! In Italy in the past we did it a lot! At the moment a must are the letters on the walls ;D (Sorry, my english is really bad)
Hey Jen, thanks for visiting. Any friend of Bumpkins is a friend of mine! So I'm a new follower. My vote on the plates: thumbs down for the first 2 pics, and thumbs up for the 2nd. Cheers, Robyn
I think it's great in magazines...but in my home it would NEVER work :( I would be afraid of someone or an earthquake rattling the walls and knocking them down.
Let us know what you decide and if you do it!!! Have a wonderful rest to your weekend.
I like the look but it depends on the plates and where they're hanging. I don't think the bedroom would be right. Thanks for visiting my blog and for your lovely comment. You're so sweet!
I think it's kind of cute to have it in the dining room or kitchen! But not the bedroom for me, it just feels too weird. Maybe I'm just old fashioned:)
No, it´s not really my taste...but your blog is it! Just want to thank you for your lovely comment for my blog - you´ve really made my day today! thank you for that!
I thought it had passed but I'm actually feeling this look again. I may go for some really simple white plates and platters to fill some wall space in my kitchen.
meh, i don't really like it. i'd rather put of interesting photos or something. or maybe if the plate were handmade by a relative or decoupaged with pictures of something. =]
I relaly like the look. I would love to do it in my dining room, but we don't really have a wall in there. And our kitchen is too busy already. It doesn't seem to make sense to me in any other rooms though, who keeps plates in their bedroom, bathroom, living room? Not I, said the little fox!

my mom does this in every room of the house, ha! But I actually like it if it is done right.

It's risky...but I think you have the taste to pull it off! Maybe mix some old frames in with the plates and make it your own look.
the top one is hot! but generally no... it's not my style it ends up looking to shabby chic. but that first one is ah-mazing.
thanks for stopping by my blog!

i have seen so many of them as well .yet they never fail to intrigue me :)
They do look gorgeous but I would personally never do it. Or at least not for another 30 years, lol :)

Oh I like. Gotta do it in a modern way, but I think it's really graphic & cool.
Don't - I'm nopt a fan of this whole new plate fad. Weird if you ask me.
