Do or Don't

We've voted on everything from heart-shaped sunglasses to jean shirts to barefoot celebrities to adult pigtails so why not take a vote on stripper shoes? Oopps, I mean see through heels ;-) What do you think? Are they cute? Are they classy? Or are they just plain classless? I don't know, I think I could probably pull these off. And do look kinda cute. But when you pass me by on the street, will you take a double look... and not in a good way? Do or don't my lovlies, do or don't?

In my opinion they are cute in theory but in reality it wouldn't be cute after wearing em for a few hours... not a cute look! lol

Have a good night

I kinda like those. Note I said kinda! haha. I usually am all about the DO because it's whatever works for you. But i know I couldn't pull them off and I feel like if I saw them coming at me down the street my first instinct would be DONT!

Going to have to go with a "don't" on these... I feel like they look cheap no matter how expensive they are.

No.
I can imagine sweaty feet there.. No again.

Do! If you have a cute pedi going on I say do. AND they'll extend the line of your leg if you're wearing a skirt. Very flattering.

NO! HA no no no. Sometimes they're nice but when they have the chunky heel that lights up? UGH. No

christa said...

eh, i say don't. i can imagine the beads of sweat pockets puddling up around your toes as you walk in them all day. eww.

Hm, I'm not too into the idea of them. If someone can rock 'em, though, more power to that lady!

Don't. I just got a few blisters looking at them ;)!

They're a no in my book....but to each their own. :D

they're not my style.... but I like the idea of a cinderella-like glass slipper : )

Punctuation Mark said...

not very glamorous... your toes look squeezed in the and things just get worse as you wear them... bad look!

These I don't mind but I anything with a lucite sole or heel is out.

I vote don't!

Lanvin actually has their classic flats on a lucite heel. It's borderline, but def interesting.

I don't think it's a good look...heels are made to accentuate your legs not toes. I love your do or don'ts! :)

Maybe if you're feet are propped up like the model's. Can you imagine what your toes would look like all crammed together after a few hours walking or standing? :)

Don't but I have to say "what funny shoes!"

Mayflower said...

DON'T !! I really think that they always look way to cheap! x

Although I am a fan of unusual shoes and most heels, I think if you want to show off your cute toes or a pedi, get some peep toe heels.. the clear material just make me imagine a squishy sweaty feet, on show for all to see! Not cool.

this is actually SO funny to me - my boyfriend has a lake house in upstate NY - in the middle of no-where-land! - so one night we take the 30 min drive into town to the ONLY bar - guess what i see!

girls in stripper - errr clear shoes - with FLASHING lights in the heels!!!! - we were ON THE FLOOR laughing! - YET watching our backs b/c these people could have guns, ya know - it was too much ..

we still to this day DIE over that night

so classy NO - i think sorta' gross - they belong IN the bedroom and that's IT! - if ever worn!

No. I see hot sweaty feet. Nope!

Nikki said...

Nay! The are like cinderella stripper shoes. I always thought I could be a stripper, but I hate the shoes!

For some reason I can't get on board with the exact pair. I'm not saying I don't like the whole "clear shoe" trend (in fact, I have a pair of jellies that I love). But something about the pointed toe paired with the clear shoe turns me off a bit. They're very interesting though, I'll give them that. ;)

I totally saw a girl in Starbucks today with stripper-shoes on - even the heel was clear. I did a double-take. It was at 9:30 in the morning and I'm assuming she was going to class, because we were right in the midst of a major University campus. Maybe she wanted to make an impression in her classes?

By the end of the night, I imagine the feet looking AWFUL. I guess it's cute with a nice pedi.. and maybe for 15 minute intervals

They look pretty good-but with the right outfit.

I, personally, don't like them. I'm not sure what sort of ensemble would make them look okay. Hmmm. I just have to say No.

I'd say if you had petite feet, just back from an amazing beach holiday when they're all tanned and smooth then yes!! Pruxxx

Ya maybe not so much but they are fun!

Luvs!

First of all: Hullo! You live in my state and that makes me excited.

Second of all: Do not like these! They remind me of those little plastic heels my Barbies used to wear. She could pull them off, but I think I'll avoid them.

Hi there...so glad you popped by G&G so I could discover you too! I love your blog as well and am following you Bloglovin'.

But on to the question at hand. Clear shoes...yes. But it does depend on the shoe and the wearer. I would kill for a pair like the ones in the photo, though. However, since I have some shoes with clear plastic bits, I have to admit they're not very nice looking after you wear them more than twice.

I'm kinda torn on this one. I'd have to give them a shot to know for sure. They're certainly unique! :)

Nádia said...

I think they're not really wearable, because they'll get dirty fast and look ugly... But for a few hours, they might fit!

I like them. But your toes would always have to look nice.

I'm still undecided - the ones you've posted are kinda cute, but I keep reminding myself of those stripper-esque heels taylor momsen wore and it ruins even the ones prada put out (which i loved initially).

I love shoes with parts that are see through, especially if it's coloured. I don't like them on my feet, but on other people, they can be really funky and cool. I think the key is to get ones with a reasonable heel so they don't look too trashy.
