1.) Cut the sleeve off an old sweater.
2.) Figure out how much of the bottle you want to cover. You can do the entire length of the wine bottle or right below the neck (where I did it). Pin the area where you want it to end and cut off the excess sweater sleeve.
3.) Turn the sweater sleeve inside out and either machine or hand sew the bottom (just takes a couple of stiches). Cut the excess right below the stiches. This will be where the bottom of the bottle is.
4.) Turn the sleeve back to the right side and slide the wine bottle in. You can sew in twine around the opening (like I did) or you can add simple things like a bow or pretty ribbon, pom poms or even buttons down the side. Don't forget to add a card!

That turned out so cute:) I did this same thing for xmas presents. Recently I made a few wine sleeves from the arms of pretty little button up shirts. Can never have to many of these!!
