It's been so snowy, slushy and messy around here lately that leaving the house means throwing on da boots! And if you try to be trendy like me in inches of slush, ordinary boots just won't do. But duck boots with heels?... Hmmmm, i'm not too sure. Yes, they're cute, but practical? Probably not. Or are they?? What do you think friends, are duck boots with heels a do or don't??

there is certainly something about them that piques my interest....
Hmmm.... I think we live in the same state. :) I would have to say, I think it's a don't ~ there's cuter boots.
It's Olivia Palermo..what can she NOT do? I have a slight obsession with her haha
And I'm hosting a giveaway this week, go check it out!
lovely photos!! happy weekend!!
olivia can pull it off! id look foolish
I think it depends. I love duck boots but I think that heels added to the mix kind of defeat the purpose! When it's snowy and slushy outside, it's also slippery! Maybe I'm just not that talented in heels.
I think they are really cute!
I don't really care for it...especially since there are so many cuter boots that are good for snow and slush and that are flats.

If it's just cold and slightly wet on the ground they're a do. If it's piles of snow...and ice...like it is here...DON'T! You could break your neck!!! ^_^ {An Old Mama-type talking}
Of course Olivia can pull them off!! as far as the rest of us, not so sure.
Have a wonderful weekend! xo
they look really cute! and you can at least pretend they're practical:P
if olivia's rockning them, totally a do!
from a style perspective the do not offend me. From a practical perspective they are stupid. I will stick with my regular ll bean boots.
I think they are cute, but probably not that practical.
...and I hate to admit it, but Olivia has done it again! She just makes everything look fabulous!!
i like it but from a practical standpoint, heels in slush and snow sounds hazardous!
i say don't..if theres not any ice or snow on the sidewalks i'd rather wear cuter shoes. she doesss look cute tho. ah well xoxo jcd

Of course my home girl Olivia P would wear these boot/heel hybrids! Not sure I could rock them, I'll stick to my Sorel Caribou's. Less likely to face plant that way.
I don't know if I can pull them off, but she certainly does! They're kind of cute.

I definitely say don't! YIKES! But i'm not really a heels type girl so maybe my opinion isn't very valid.
Those shorts are a Yes. Those boots are a No. And your Etsy store is a resounding Yes!
You know what? I really like them. Call me crazy but I think they are more flattering than wellies!
don't! I don't like adding heels to regular shoes to try to update them. regular duck boots are super cool; heeled ones look a little cheap! (I think.) (same goes for heeled flip flops.)
lovely! olivia palermo is so gorg...such an unexpected outfit but it works!
so glad i discovered your blog today! have a great weekend :)

Hi Jen,
LOVE LOVE LOVE your blogs! Thanks for stopping in and visiting me. Happy Friday to you too from sunny California :)
Olivia pulls off the look quite WELL. I do like it.
I think they're adorable, but they'll probably end up being the 2011 equivalent than those high heeled Timberlands...
Also, I can't imagine not killing yourself in them.
like the boots, don't care so much for palermo. :)
Maybe if you were in Main or Vail, but in a hip city, I think it is a Don't even THINK about it!!!
But then again....they are kinda cute.....
Hi girl...
Love the hat...
And your blogg is looking good...
Have a great day.
I've slept on it and decided that they are a do. I like.
she has a such great style!
Do. love!
Theyre weird but I kinda like them!
i'm your newest follower!! and i'm with danielle and josie, she can pull them off, but i probably couldn't!! :-)
Maybe not practical but cute cute cute! <3
They look great here but Im not convinced they are the most practical.
This is a DO! Love it!
My first thought was 'no way' but then I looked at your photos. It's not so bad.
