Pretty Portraits

I've been looking at a lot of modern dining room furniture lately and what amazes me is everything that goes into making a dining room great. Like these hanging portraits... Who would have thought a large face in the dining room would look so exquisite? I don't know about you, but I looove style like this... just as long as it's not of me! Could you imagine if I told you that was me in Picture 1??

Jen I do like but I second that in as long as it's not me. Not sure I want to eat along side a massive photo of a naked person though. Just saying!!

Wow I love these photos...
You just gave me an excellent idea...

:)

Have a great day.

I wouldn't want them to be of me either. Especially that last one! No one would take my cooking seriously if I were naked in the dining room. Do love large portraits though!

I think it's amazing how much a portrait or a picture in general will add to a room. I love the second one the best. Makes me want to do something like that!!!

I love those huge photos..The third one is totally amazing...Can I have that whole room? hahah

I like the third room very VERY much, everything about it. Can't say I'd feel real comfortable eating in that last room, just something about the nude women in the room while I'm eating, doesn't do it for me.

nice dining room ideas, but having a large picture - gives me creeps.

It took me ages to chose my dining set, when I finally did, I chose a triangular one.
In the 80's my grandmother had in her dining room 4 huge black and white pictures of my aunts/uncle and it looked great.
There were fully dressed though, I do not think I could eat in front of a boob.

I love that top one, so stunning! And you're right, it would just be wrong if it were of oneself {cringe}. I wish I could find something like this because I have a giant wall space just waiting to be filled up!

I don't think I'm cool enough to have a portait of me like that on the wall. Maybe one day....?

Oh wow!! Those portraits are beautiful and so big!!!!!!! I wouldn't mind a portrait of me...but we may have to make a few changes to it. LOL!

I completely agree-I love the look, but couldn't get comfortable in a room with a giant photo of myself staring back!

Unknown said...

Yeah, I'm not sure about the nude woman in the last photo but I do like some of the others.

These are gorgeous!

I would love the third one to be my dining room. And its so perfect, cos when it dates or you get bored, its pretty easy to start with a blank canvas again!

Hi there!
Love your leopard posts. Have actually never ever been in love with leopard before, but suddenly am and are going for a long small-patterned leopard dress from H&M this spring/summer.
Also loved, loved , loved the pic of the purple sofa. Really shows off what you can accomplish renovating an old antique item!
Finally that first pic. in todays post looks amazing. Love that dining room!
Happy weekend!

I do like large artsy portraits. And I don't mind the boob shot but really draw the line at what looks to me like a un-suntaned "lower nether area" discretely hidden behind the dining chair.

That might be a little distracting from my wonderful 4 hour Sunday dinners!

Just saying, I prefer to eat...(pardon me)...food in the dining room!
