Headboard Alternatives

I've preached this before but I think headboards are the most important part of any bedroom. Their presence alone adds so much to a room! I've been obsessed with upholstered headboards for the longest time but now, I'm loving headboard alternatives... planks of wood nailed strategically to the wall or two old scrapped doors perfectly placed. These, my friends, are exactly what I'm talking about...

i love those doors! i am currently working to refinish an old door and make it into a headboard. it's a project that's been on my to do list for a year and still isn't started!

These are perfect - I think that a headboard is the most important part of a room, and it just looks like college if you don't have one! Plus, I love rustic wood pieces with modern elements -awesome finds!
